Most people make food-related decisions based on habits and don’t expect to spend much time and effort (referred to as agency) on choosing what to eat. We are therefore influenced by what we see and experience, whether it is an advert for a certain food, the availability or the cost of certain foods or cultural beliefs. The main aim of this book is to provide you with substantial evidence that improving our food environment is crucial to our health and well-being.
